Oh my god, they’ve done it again. The Boonie Bears hit a new high with their newest animated movie and holy crap it was emotional with an epic climax and amazingly beautiful theme song. Really cool action sequences too.
When I watch a Boonie Bears movie I don’t know whether it’s gonna be a “meh” or a “wow” or a “ugh”, because they’ve done some hits and misses with their past movies. This one, “Back to Earth”, from this year is a new hit. The last one I saw before this, “The Wild Life” from 2020, was a “meh”. Not too bad, but also not much to talk about. I wasn’t so emotionally invested in it and it was kinda awkward (dare I say cringe?) in places. Even worse, “Blast from the Past” from 2019 was one of the “ughs”.
When I started watching this new movie and saw it had a space theme, I thought “Oh no, are they gonna have crazy adventures in space” and wondered if it’s gonna be “ugh” like the 2019 movie. But boy was I wrong - instead I ended up watching the movie twice in a row. Just after the movie ended, I started it over again. I haven’t done that since “The Big Shrink” from 2018, which is my most favorite Boonie Bears movie. This new one however I might put as a tied place.
